"Page not found" error?
1. Make sure your internet connection is working
You can ping and connect to modem
You are reaching your ISP
2. Run a Ping Plotter or tracert to the URL not responding
Where is it failing in the route?
Is this a problem outside your network/system at the ISP level?

The first step is to check out your web connection status up to your IP provider connection and make sure all is well there.

The raid controller won't affect IE. It's just a type of hard drive configuration.

Do the basics first:

Unplug the modem and plug it back in. Within about 30 seconds the modem should show connectivity to the ISP. Usually it's a light that say's "Online" or "Link".

Now restart the computer and see if you can release and renew an IP address. Your next steps will be dependant upon what the above shows.

I would try Firefox or Sea Monkey as the more security settings get dunped into IE, the tougher it gets to see all websites and graphics on them. I mean if they have java set up, then it has to be in the messed up Security Settings.
