what should I suggest here

I'm running windows 2003 server. I have a DSL line. The connection works fine for awhile, but after awhile the connection just stops working, I can't disconnect, connect or anything. When I go to the network properties and try to open the properties window it doesn't open. Well it opens for a split second, flickers, perhaps a single frame and then disappears again. I can't do anything, I can't disconnect or delete it.

and because I asked for details

dsl line via windows setup wizard, using broadband that you have to manually click to connect to. It resets about every 24 hours to give me a new IP... No settings have been altered.

All the setups have been made via wizards my network card is RTL8029.

Well, first thought is Windows 2003 Server SHOULD have a firewall between it and the DSL connection. I have no doubt that this computer is wide open to the internet.

By default Windows 2003 opens the Administrator's Terminal Services connection during installation.

The Network places "flashing" is consistent with SASSER, SMITFRAUD, and a few others.
