laptop wireless connection booster

well son who has left home has contacted me..
His boss has said he doesnt mind him sharing his broadband connection.
Problem.. he is below him one floor and is finding it hard to pick up the signal. At the moment he can only connect standing on a chair with his laptop on a shelf.:eek: .. he will fall and break his neck

Is there anything he can buy to boost his laptop signal please???

I have the same problem. Since I have a Linksys wireless router, I visited their site and found that there are antenna extenders for my model. I have ordered them so I cannot tell if they solved my problem.

Check out this corner reflector. It doen't increase power, but instead concentrates to where you need it.

Well, the high grain antenna extenders did not solve my problem. On to the boosters.

He spent £40 on a booster. the signal is still very low but at least it doesnt cut out now.. so i can chat via web cam
