The main reason for using this utility (http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html) is when you suspect there may be a problem with a Windows XP system file... :D

seems to be that if it needs sfc /scannow, one might as well do the full repair with xp cd but maybe my conclusion is wrong
