I just noticed Smokey's post about our Wednesday Night
Computer Help Desk chatroom has been revised.
You now have the option to be reminded one hour to three
days before the event!
Check it out!

(Pete, looks like we aim to please! :) )
Questions:
- Is this reminder in addition to the usual
Wednesday morning email reminder?
- Does the event really ignore DST as stated?
I don't think so. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Great solution!
Ok, I set my reminder for 1 hour prior to the chat session.
I hope this is the only reminder now.
I also have my computerized alarm set to remind me at 9pm.

Rich, what about the statement "this event
ignores DST"? I don't think that's correct.
Last week our chatroom opened at 9 pm DST.
This week, because of reverting back to Eastern StandardTime, the chatroom will be opened at
9 pm EST.

Since the convention has been to open the room at 9:00 PM Eastern time (daylight or standard, depending on the season), I removed the note about ignoring DST. I also changed the hours to 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
