On the quest for new PC.. came across one with DX9 graphics ???????

Pentium 4 820 Processor. 1Gb RAM, 250Gb HDD. DX9 Graphics. Philips stereo speakers and headphones. 7-in-1 digital card reader. Philips 19in flat panel monitor. Philips DVD RW Drive. Philips keyboard and optical mouse. Microsoft Windows Media Centre,


I dont know what DX9 graphics are.. enlighten me please

Means Direct X9 which every pc today should hace probably C version. Actually there is some talk we should wait for Direct X 10 to come out which supposedly will not work with video cards produced today, so todays purchase may be a waste of money.
Of course you are talking to an ex-photgrapher who hasn't seen a bit of difference since early versions of Direct X 8 here.

Usually a pc says what graphics card it has.. on whether it is intergrated graphics.. DX9.. is new never seen that before

Simply put, DirectX is a programming method which allows computer software to "communicate" with other computer software (primarily for gaming) in order to "display" high-quality graphics using the latest graphics hardware.
To benefit from the latest advances in DirectX (currently DirectX 9) one must have hardware that supports (is designed for) DirectX9.

I've been running Direct X9c for most of this year so far, as I run online with Nascar2003 season I updated it wayback but havnt seen much difference from 8
