I use Firefox as default browser.

Is there a fast, simple way to switch to Internet
Explorer to view an attachment in Outlook
Express .... and a fast simple way to then
switch back to Firefox as default browser?

Try right clicking on the attachment. You may get a context menu with one of the options being "Open with ..." then choose IE. Don't know if that works inside OE, but it works using Windows Explorer.

No such option in Outlook Express. Options are Open, Print,
Save as..., Save all....
