My garage is detached from the house, my router is in my pc room inside the house. I usually take my pc in the garage on Saturdays to play music/video from it while I'm getting my work done, the guys usually drop by to have some beers but some of them show up late sometimes and I have to stay awake until they leave to take my pc inside, in any case, I have a monitor, keyboard and mouse sitting permanently in the garage so all I move is the Tower but constant moving to and from the Garage on Saturdays is getting to be a pain.

Because of the two reasons above I am thinking of leaving the Tower on inside the house but wish to control it from inside the garage using the keyboard, monitor and mouse in there just as if the Tower would be there too. This means that I will need some way for the audio to play through my stereo in the garage, can all of this be done? If so, then I won't have to worry about moving anything so whenever I'm ready to call it a night I can simply tell the guys to lock up the garage whenever they're finished and I can go in without having to wait until they leave to carry any equipment with me, any ideas anyone?

There are a number of wireless audio feed/player devices out there once you get that wireless sorted out and reliable.
With the price of most of them, it would be easier/cheaper to build a very low end box out of spare parts or find an old junker somewhere. It takes very little to power the basics needed.
Small HD, XP/ME/98, wireless card, sound card, Winamp.
Local brick and mortar computer shop may just have a POS trade-in from a customer and willing to dump it for cheap.

I can leave another pc in there permanently but the Garage is made of Brick and is not insulated so the pc would have to withstand the extreme cold, I had inquired about this issue before and some Techs have told me that the moisture is the main problem and that the pc will NOT last long in there, what do you think?
