I missed this one when it sailed through congress but did you realized that DST has new start and end dates?

DST starts on March 11th and ends on October 28th. Microsoft is suppose to out with a patch to ensure that PC's properly reflect the change. However, you should double check your computer's clock on March 11th to verify that it reflects the correct time. If not correct, you can adjust the time by double-clicking the time in the systems tray on the right-hand side of your systems toolbar and entering the correct time.

Clarification:
The start and end dates for Daylight Saving Time (DST) are changing this year (e.g. the start of DST in 2007 is March 11th instead of April 2nd and the end date is November 4th instead of October 28th).

Thanks for the catch.

Make sure you have the XP updates - UNFORTUNATELY W2k (Pro and Server flavors), W9x, and ME will not automatically do the transition of DST.

I can understand Win98 and WinME but Win2K?! I know some corporate entities that will be less than happy.

Just received email from the (work) IT department about this assuring that they have taken all necessary steps...
At least they are aware of it.

I did love their advice about making sure AutoUpdate is on for your XP ...
Uhhh! I also seem to remember a Windows Update a few months ago that crashed a whole bunch of the machines at work when it failed to install properly and how long it took to rebuild them from the master image...
How soon we forget...
