Hello there.
I know some of us do like the way the UI looks in Windows Vitsa, but will not upgrade for a few months or will not upgrade because you have no problems with XP. Well I fall in to the second school of thought on this and found a way to get the best of both worlds. Check out this link.
http://www.windowsxlive.net/ and look for the Vista Transformation Pack.
There are some problems with the Sidebar that comes with it but everything else works fine. But this is still a try at your own risk program and I know that they are working on the fix for the Sidebar for the end of February.
Hope you guys enjoy this.

Just be careful as I have seen some big time crashes on the major forums from running this thing...just for some and I would bet it's the pc's that are not optimum clean of spyware and virus based on experience.
My wife asked me if we should upgrade her computer with the new "Vista operating system" I replied, " Hold on, honey. First let me get my ten-foot pole.:)
This seems like a good option to placate her until "Service Pack IV" comes out.
PS. This was not an anatomical reference.

I tested the Vista Transformation Pack. It isn't bad, but it can cause some serious problems. Most of you already use imaging software, so just make sure you have a good backup before trying this.

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to drop you guys a line and let you know that I am going to remove this from my computer. After using this for a few months I am tired of the way it works. And I also got my upgrade to Vista in the mail so I am going to try the real thing and see what happens. I hope this program did not cause any of you a problem.

I would like to know how the removal of this Vista Transformation Pack went for this member?
Could you please post the results?

Hello there,
I did a clean reload of the OS, I did not want to try doing an uninstall of the program. I have found that anytime you mess with the system files that doing an uninstall will make the computer very unstable.

I do not want to make you feel bad, but I agree with your thinking and also a clean install is about the only way to get these pain in the rear-end Vista tryouts completely off the computer.
You did it correctly.
