Classic Start Menu

If I set Start Menu to Classic the Network Places icon shows on desktop. If I have dial up ISP, no sharing of any kind, broadband, networked computers, other users, etc and want this icon off desktop what do I do?

Right click on desktop.
Hit properties.
Hit desktop tab.
Hit Customize Desktop.
Uncheck 'My Network Places'.
