First of all I would run Home Premium, not basic, you lose the best features like Aero desktop by using basic.
I would pass on Asus motherboard and look at Msi or Gigabyte for similar quality as Asus is in toilet this past year...way too many problems.
Good quality known brand such as Antec, Enermax or Thermaltake and 500 watt is plenty...in fact I would not use anything else for psu anyway and don't.
Antec Sonata, Enermax or Thermaltake cases are the best. On a real budget I like Athenatech also.

That darn Vista is sooooooo expensive...... Ok, so Home premium WOOT. ok, tehere is 2 different Home premium Versions. One that is 40€ expensiver than Basic,a dn other that is 260€ expensiver than basic.... Whats the differense (both 64-bit).... MSI Mobos are cheap, gonna take it :D Umm. It says to speeds = Asus 2000Mt\s and MSI 1000Mhz big differense???

I don't know what your options are for internet ordering across the pond. Over here, we use one or two of the big outfits like Newegg.com and ZipZoomFly.com where they deal in volume and beat just about any prices you would find retail.
Planning out a machine is the most difficult part...
Putting it together takes 30 minutes.
Planning and matching correct parts to meet your needs can take months.
Decide what you intend to do with the machine, how much storage capacity you need, what peripherals.
A gaming machine is different from a standard desktop.
You will want a higher quality vid card, more speed, more ram, etc.
A case is a case is a case! Find one that fits your needs for what you want to stuff into it. Don't buy one with a power supply as the included PSU is usually a cheap POS. A good quality 500w is a worthwhile investment.
Determine your specifications and then READ, READ, READ
reviews on the mobo, CPU, ram. See what luck or problems other people have encountered with each item and choose accordingly. This is VERY important when matching up the PSU, Mobo, and ram as some combinations work great while others will be nothing but trouble.
Take the time to research everything before you build!

As I said they have been bad right out of the box lately. Between the 4 I have had bad right out of the box and the number I am reading about on the larger forums, I am done with Seagate sata drives at any price.

WesternDigital CAVIAR 300GB 7200 8MB SATA2
Sounds good? No problems with those?
Sorry that I'm asking so much, but i don't want any problems with my computer :D and i trust you.
That's a much better choice.
I've seen way too many of the Sata Barracuda's have physical failure when only a few months old. In fact, I posted about it a couple of months ago.
